Classified Details
I purchased a pregnant Syrian hamster (she got knocked up at the pet store by a male that was placed in the wrong cage) to make sure she and her babies received proper care and went to good "forever homes". The babies were born Nov. 3rd and are now ready to go to new homes. They received a vet check-up on 11/26 to ensure that they're in good health.

I'm selling each baby with everything they'll need to get started in a new home. (I'm also willing to sell just a hamster for $5 if you already have a cage and accessories).

the babies:
4 umbrous golden (3 male/1 female)
1 sable (charcoal color) (F)
3 banded umbrous golden (2M/1F)
2 banded sable (1M/1F)
there's also a little cream-colored girl and a runt that I'm keeping :p
(the umbrous gene is what gives the golden colored hamsters a gray sheen to their coats and it turns what would otherwise be a cream colored hamster into sable - sable is technically umbrous cream)

Housing needs:
Syrian hamsters are loners. They can live with same-sex litter mates for the first 2-3 months but after that they must NEVER be housed with another hammy - doing so can result in serious injury or even death!

Hamsters need at least 360 square inches of space. No single store-bought hamster cage can provide this - in fact, it takes 3-4 cages! Instead of shelling out for multiple (expensive) cages, most savvy owners house their pet in a bin cage. Bin cages are secure and roomy with lots of space for toys.

Any wheel that causes a hamster's back to arch even slightly is bad for them - because of their size, Syrian hamsters require a 12'' wheel.

Hamsters need some sort of hidey-hut to snuggle up in. They also require healthy chew toys to wear their teeth down because their teeth never stop growing.

Each hamster I am selling comes with the following:
~ a care packet
~ a bin cage providing approx. 407 square inches of floor space... manufacturer's measurements (around the top of the bin): 32.13"L x 19.13"W x 13.75"H
~ a wodent wheel senior (the *only* ASPCA approved wheel)
~ a water bottle
~ a ceramic food bowl
~ an igloo hideout
~ an assortment of chews
~ a gallon ziplock bag of carefresh natural bedding
~ 1.5 lbs of food (Kaytee Forti Diet Pro Health Mouse, Rat and hamster food, one of the best hamster mixes available)
some sunflower seeds (2-3 should be given each day)

The babies are being played with daily to ensure that they're sweet and tame.
