Grove takes the reader from the origins of Germany's tank arm to its triumph over the Allies in 1940. The book covers the types available to the Wehrmacht in 1939 and shows how they were used in novel tactics to break through the static defenses of the Polish and French armies. A comprehensive postscript lists the tanks and their development history and shows that some of the types available were under gunned and under-armoured by the standards of 1940. Contains photos mostly black and white and colored illustration of tanks.

CONDITION— good condition - Spine has a tear on the top cover, clean pages, some shelf wear
