(Please do not confuse this vehicle with an ordinary Neon or SX-2.0, not even the "Sport" versions. The R/T represents a major upgrade to "performance coupe" status, the second hottest Neon next to the SRT4 Turbo, but also with a great array of creature comforts, ... plus 45mpg fuel economy that the SRT4 cannot match. PERFORMANCE: Special R/T high-output 2-litre 150-HP 16-valve SOHC multi-point fuel injected 4 cylinder engine features special hi-speed engine management computer and enhanced sensors, high-performance ignition and fuel injection, active variable-venturi tuned intake manifold, performance-tuned exhaust manifold, performance camshaft, a 9.8:1 compression ratio and dual Chrome exhausts, all factory, all unique to the R/T. Full-synthetic oil in the engine after the first year. There’s also a high-performance 5-speed manual transmission with special R/T gear ratios, transmission oil cooler and performance hydraulic clutch. Optional 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS. Recently new brakes (F&R) featuring upgraded high-performance Monroe dustless CERAMIC pads & vented rotors. Special R/T factory suspension with performance-tuned struts & shocks and heavy-duty anti-sway (stabilizer) bars F&R. R/T performance-tuned power steering (rack & pinion). R/T performance alloy wheels in mint condition with low-profile 195/50R16 Goodyear Eagle performance tires. Additional Goodyear Eagle UltraGrip performance snow/ice radials on steel rims with chrome wheel covers, all 4 wheels. TRAILER TOWING: professionally installed frame-mounted deluxe Reese "Hidden Hitch" rated for 2,000lbs (Class II). (Special custom hitch model to accommodate the R/T’s dual exhausts.) Even the base Neon/SX-2.0 5-speed is strong and rugged, Chrysler warranty approved to tow 1,500 lbs with standard disc/drum brakes (more than many of today’s mid-size cars). My vehicle’s upgraded high-performance ceramic 4-wheel disc brakes dramatically shorten stopping distances for additional towing safety, and the R/T’s higher torque and horsepower, heavy-duty performance-geared transmission and hydraulic clutch deliver considerably more towing capacity than the other SX-2.0 and Neon models. However, my vehicle has towed only light loads (Sea-Doo trailer), less than 50% of capacity, and only very occasionally.

SPECIAL NOTES: This vehicle was built with special care as a Chrysler Executive car, driven for the first year by a manager at Chrysler’s Windsor HQ design center. I am the second owner. This car has been executive-driven with respect, meticulously maintained, and is in mint condition. All systems and equipment are fully functional like new. All service bulletins have been applied. The car spends almost all its time in a garage protected from atmospheric pollutants and UV radiation: paint and upholstery are like new and the jewelled composite headlight lenses are crystal clear like new. There is no rust on the body. Special anti-rust treatments, paint finish protectants, headlight protectants and upholstery anti-stain protectants have been applied.
This car includes more than $2.000 worth of aftermarket extras including the winter wheels and tires, custom R/T trailer hitch, special brakes & various protectants. (I WILL consider "unbundling", removing the extra wheels & tires and the trailer hitch from this package and selling them myself separately.) When comparing to other vehicles without these extras, the comparable price for my car is about $7,800. I will consider selling the car with installed winter wheels, wheel covers and winter perfprmance snow/ice radial tires and without the additional summer (all-season) performance tires and performance alloy wheels. This would further reduce the selling price.
I am offering this car for sale because we currently have one too many for our needs and this one, with just 64,000 km and such a joy to drive, is being "wasted"... it should be more actively enjoyed by someone with serious driving to do!
