Why Yoga?
Yoga is the union of breath, movement, body and soul. A practice which promotes self awareness, centering and also strength, health and grace in the physical body.
As we begin to expand our awareness, and release the unnecessary noise and clutter in our mind, we deepen our day to day life experience.
Yoga is a masterful tool for self-discovery and wellness. Instructor Eliza Moore was trained in the Ashtanga and Iyengar methods of yoga. Her teaching pulls from both methods, pairing a flowing sequence with a focus on physical alignment. Also a musician, Eliza finds joy and inspiration in rhythm and melody. She uses a diverse soundtrack to awaken a dance-like quality in her classes.
This musical tapestry gives the students a frame work from which to link the flow of breath and movement as well as a playful approach to discovering the asanas (poses). Eliza's teaching is also informed by her training in Eastern medicine as a Shiatsu practitioner. She incorporates her knowledge of the subtle energetic layers or meridian system of the body, introducing her students to a more whole sense of self-awareness, beyond the material realm.
Schedule:
Monday: Energizing Flow Lunchtime Yoga: 12:15-1:15
Tuesday: Sunrise Yoga: 8:00-9:00 (on the terrace when weather permits).
Hatha Yoga: 5:30-6:30
Wednesday: Energizing Flow Lunchtime Yoga: 12:15-1:15
Thursday: Sunrise Yoga: 8:00-9:00 (on the terrace when weather permits).
Rejuvenating Yoga: 5:30-6:30
Friday: Energizing Flow Lunchtime Yoga: 12:15-1:15
Class: $15.00 (includes use of spa facilities).
10 class card: $100.00*
Optional laundry fee: $6.00 (If any of spa robes, wraps or towels used)
Privates and small group courses also available M-F except for regular class times. Privates: $45.00/hour | |
