COMMENTS: A very rare & valuable garnet from the grossular species of the garnet family. These beauties only originate from Kenya or Tanzania and are highly prized coveted garnets. They will make remarkable stones for a jewelry piece. Acquired from Swala Gem Traders at Komolo, a guarantee of quality gems.

Here is an absolutely beautiful rare & valuable tsavorite garnet where the "hard rock" rough was mined from the Komolo tsavorite deposit, which is also known as the "Lemshuko Mine", near Arusha, Tanzania! Actually some two hours south of Arusha. We are talking a really gorgeous gem here my fellow members! This gem has a world class emerald green color that is well balanced and not to light or dark, superb luster, and a well executed cut. Tsavorite is a variety of green grossular garnet discovered in 1967. It is one of the newest of the precious gemstones, and these green grossulars are very rare. Specimens over one carat are quite rare.

It is often compared to emerald, but in many ways, tsavorite is a superior choice. It occurs in shades of green ranging from spring-like pale green to intensely bluish green to deep forest green. It is not only more durable than emeralds, it is also more highly dispersive and refractive. Tsavorites are not treated with oils or resins as emeralds typically are. This beauty runs no less than $200 for this cut, color, clarity, and carat weight from a jeweler or gem shopping network. Why pay high inflated market prices when you can get it here for the same or better quality for a wholesale value. Think about that!

Happy shopping! We are not new in the gem trade or auctioneering. We offer all natural gemstones, gem carvings, & facet/cab/specimen grade gem rough, with full disclosure of any enhancements known. We also offer excellent service in all aspects, secure packaging, and fast shipping. You will not be disappointed with this very fine gem!! Please realize that colors can slightly differ from monitor to monitor or with change of lighting (natural, fluorescent, full spectrum, or incandescent).
