COMMENTS: An absolutely impressive gemstone.
Here is a top end & highly prized natural apple green premium chrysoprase or also known as imperial chrysoprase mined from the Marlborough district, in the Rockhampton Region of Queensland, Australia. ((The Marlborough chrysoprase mining is by far the largest in Australia and the chrysoprase material mined their is generally of superior deep green to apple green color along with the material from the recently re-opened Yerilla Chrysoprase mines.)) This material is most commonly cut en cabochon for jewelry and also excellent for carvings & varies cameo's, but is rarely to almost never faceted. We do carry a few rare faceted chrysoprase. Chrysoprase is one of the most valuable of the chalcedony species (microcrystalline quartz's). This top end gem has a top apple green color with an excellent face up appearance and a very gemmy eye appeal.
