FIRST OF ALL, NATURAL OLD (ANCIENT) CHINESE JADEITE IS NOT JADEITE BUT AMPHIBOLE JADE OR NEPHRITE INSTEAD. BURMESE JADEITE IS THE FINEST OF ALL JADEITE MINED INCLUDING THE RENOWNED IMPERIAL GREEN (EMERALD GREEN) JADEITE!
Here is a very highly prized & very exquisite SOLID white "A Jade" (jadeite) carving of a lucky elephant where the gem rough was mined from upper Burma (Jade Tract), at the Khaisumaw dike on the plateau at Tawmaw, renown for it's mined multi color jadeite. THIS MATERIAL WAS ACQUIRED IN 1996 AT THE JADEITE MARKET IN MAE SAI, LOCATED ON THE THAI SIDE OF THE THAI-BURMESE BORDER, AND CUT IN THAILAND BY A CLOSE FRIEND WHO LIVES THEIR. We are talking a absolutely top gem carving here! This gem carving has a beautiful solid white color with natural faceted marquise shape blue sapphire eyes (sapphires are also from Burma). An excellent face up appearance and a very gemmy eye appeal. That said, I am offering this awesome solid jadeite gem carving for a great price for a short time. Would make an exceptional shelf piece to show off. **This is not a manufactured or molded gem carving, this is a solid natural gem carving that has not been enhanced in any manner**
