Trinidad and Tobago at World Cup 2006
For Trinidad and Tobago the World Cup will be a learning experience, nothing more. The team just scraped into this summer's event via a play-off victory against Bahrain. Though they would love to upset England in their group, the truth is the nation will most probably prop the table up.
Coach Leo Beenhakker probably knows that a second round appearance is unlikely and has thus boldly stated: "It doesn't matter what else we do, the main thing is to beat England." That victory would be a monumental achievement for the nation renowned for its festive spirit.
However even Paraguay and Sweden may prove a step too far. The country will at least hope to get a point at their first World Cup. Beenhakker is a coach who can get the best out of a group of players who have limited talent. Who knows, if the England upset materializes then...

Finished fourth in a group containing the USA and Mexico but then beat Bahrain 2-1 in a play-off.
