Classified Details
At least one member of the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association has lost an eye. This club has less than 20 members with working electric cars or trucks. So, the "eye loss rate" is at least five percent. Don't you think that a five percent chance loss of your eye is a serious risk?

Here's another statistic: At the Dynasty "IT" electric car factory in Metro Vancouver (Annacis Island), one out of three assemblers allegedly got an accidental electric shock every month, per one of the crew who spoke to me. An electric shock of >50V can be fatal.

Please wear full eye protection when working with lead acid batteries. If you are a somewhat accident-prone person, you should not be working alone. Even sealed batteries can delivery a small mushroom cloud of sulfuric acid --- I've seen that!

- Flooded (wet) batteries can explode, causing blindness. At least one Vancouver electric vehicle owner has lost an eye. For this reason, I prefer to use only sealed (VRLA) batteries. In my view, good health is priceless.

Batteries can explode, causing blindness. As I said earlier, at least one Vancouver electric vehicle owner has lost his eye. For this reason, I prefer to use only a certain type of battery. In my view, good health is priceless.

For sale in this listing is Information on reducing the risk of blindness and electric shocks while working on your electric vehicle (EV) i.e. electric cars and pickups.

FYI, if you have an electric bike, electric scooter, or electric motorcycle with NiMH or LiON batteries, be aware that when such batteries overheat, the explosion will cause metal parts to imbed themselves in drywall. Ask Justin at ebikes.ca -- he sells them.
