Beloved as good luck symbols, mushrooms are among the most popular traditional ornaments from the country where Christmas tree decorating began. These charming glass mushrooms are handpainted, with white stems and white spots dappled on bright red caps. Plastic and metal caps and wire loop hanger.

Made around mid-20th century. Plastic caps marked: "West Germany Ges. Gesch." (Ges. Gesch. is abbreviation for "gesetzlich geschützt" or "registered"). Metal cap marked: "West Germany." 2.75 L (with loop) x 1.25 W.
