Vintage cookbook from the South's popular home and gardening magazine contains quick cooking or make ahead recipes for those times when food has to get to the table fast!
Chapters include: Guide to Cook Quick, Menus to Cook Quick (What's for Supper, All in One Dish, Make the Most of the Microwave, Fast but Fancier, Time Out for Lunch, Brunch or Breakfast), Recipes to Cook Quick (Appetizers, Breads, Entrees, Salads and Salad Dressings, Soups and Sandwiches, Vegetables and Side Dishes, Desserts).
The book has some cover wear, most noticeably corner bumps and some peeling to edges and spine (true of many early Southern Living Cookbooks). There is a small spot inside front cover that is peeled (visible in images). In addition, the previous owner has highlighted some terms and sentences in the first chapter (Guide to Cook Quick) with a yellow highlighter. The binding is tight and the rest of the pages are clean with a few dog-eared.
Does not appear to be a heavily used cookbook.
