Can you guess how many cases the average family law or insurance law or civil law practitioner (a lawyer) has?

Did you know that some litigation lawyers have over 200 active cases at a time? Can you play 200 chess games simultaneously? Good luck!

Finding a suitable lawyer shouldn't be a crap shoot. I can teach YOU how to find the best litigation lawyer for your [prospective or on-going] case or lawsuit! Why take a chance? For example, a cyclist's personal injury case could be worth $20,000 or $30,000 --- however, the $30,000 award may have been the poorer choice, after expenses are taken out.

Can you "read between the lines" in these cases, which are published in the CanLII online law and judgments database?
- Spoor and Miller v. Nicholls, 2000 BCCA 535 (CanLII)
- Sopatyk v. Sopatyk, 2004 SKQB 505 (CanLII)
- Winch v. Kedgh, 2004 CanLII 25579 (ON S.C.)

In the above examples, can you tell which side's lawyer was the winner, for his/her client?

Try your luck in "reading between the lines" in Canadian cases in an another interesting caselaw from the COURT OF APPEAL FOR ONTARIO that we can look at. This case is RE: ROGER GRAHAM DOE (Applicant (Appellant)) v. JOYCE ALENE DOE (Respondent), in which the Court of Appeal, held:
{snipped caselaw text follows}
[8] The cumulative effect of these errors leads us to conclude that the decision of the motions judge cannot stand. In our view, the record supports the appellantís contention that his retirement gave rise to a material change of circumstances warranting a reduction in the support payments to the respondent.In the final analysis, we believe that the support payments should be reduced from $4,500.00 to $2,500.00 per month. [9] We are also of the view that in the circumstances, the appellant should be relieved of his obligation to maintain life insurance for the respondent. In its place, there will be a termthat the support payments shall be a first charge on the appellantís estate for the balance of the respondentís life.
[10] In the result, the appeal is allowed and paragraph 1 of the order of Oyen J. dated June 8, 1987 and paragraph 7 of the order of Chartrand J. dated June 16, 1981 shall be varied in accordance with these reasons.
[11] The parties shall bear their own costs of the motion and the appeal.
{end of snipped caselaw text}

With one of us by your side, we'll help YOU research case histories, in YOUR QUEST to find the "winning-est" lawyers who won the lawsuit for their clients, given the particulars of YOUR circumstances. With this information, your important case won't be left to chance.

We charge $35/hour (plus travel), and you set the ceiling (maximum amount) you want to spend. This makes sense, doesn't it?

No, we don't provide legal advice. Our skills are in research. We have found interesting information in many areas (not related to law, even) that advanced and inspired the power of the individual, aka "Power of One."
