 | My clothing items are freshly laundered with All-Free and Downey-Free before I take pictures. In EXCELLENT CONDITION, just FULL of quality features, and can be worn 3 ways:
1. Light weight soft fleece inner lining with hood can be worn alone when the weather begins to turn COOL.
2. Main outer jacket is made with padded material that is wind-resistant and can be sprayed with water repellent to keep your little one drier. It also has a hood that attaches with a zipper and Velcro, plus secures with snaps so it doesn't flop around when you aren't using it. Wear alone without the fleece liner for moderately COLD weather.
3. Place the fleece liner in the main jacket and wear them together for FREEZING COLD weather.
The inner gray camouflage print fleece lining zips closed, and has 2 generous slash pockets for keeping hands warm. The sleeves have cuffs with elastic sewn in and a loop to secure them inside the sleeves of the outer jacket. There is a loop to hang the jacket up at the interior neckline.
The outer jacket has 2 slash pockets that close with zippers and a pocket on either side of the chest that have flaps with Velcro closures. There is not one, but TWO zippers down the front of this jacket, so that wind, snow, etc. do not compromise the comfort of your child. This design is called a "Storm" flap, and the outer zipper is further secured at the top and bottom with snaps and three Velcro triangles. The sleeves have snap-loops to use with the loops in the fleece lining sleeves. (No worries about pulling an arm out and everything coming off inside out, this fleece sleeve will stay put inside the outer sleeve.) The cuffs secure with Velcro tabs that can be adjusted if your child has small or large wrists. (see insets in picture)
There is a place to write your child's name inside that is in pristine condition, we did not have a need to use it and a loop at the neckline to hang the jacket on a hook. The 'white' stripes you see in the picture aren't really white at all. They are the same color gray as the body of the jacket, they just glow when a light is shined in the direction of the wearer. What a wonderful safety feature!
I paid over $40 for this item new, and my son only wore the outer jacket a few times. (I paid more than I really wanted to and bought it big, hoping we'd get two winters out of it, his growth made that impossible!) The fleece liner has seen a fair amount of use and several washings, but the only signs of wear are some loose threads around the bottom of the jacket, the hem is not loose, just the stitching. Easily fixable if you sew and desire to return the item to 'Like New' condition.
