Infusing it with select herbs and spices has further developed this remarkable taste so that it has complex layers of "heat" that complement (rather than "overpower") many foods. It's excellent in many sauces, marinades where an extra little bit of "excitement" is desired! However, it is also excellent simply with loaf of fresh Calabrese bread! (Be assured that this extra virgin olive oil is a "first cold press" oil, which means that only the highest quality olives are selected and crushed first by massive "cold stone" presses. It has an acidity of less than one per cent, which allows it to be classified as authentic "extra virgin olive oil", the highest possible classification of oil. |
