Here is an impressive brilliant cut rare vivid green Mali garnet mined from Diakon, Mali! We are talking a really gorgeous gems here my fellow members! This gem has a world class vivid color and remarkable clarity for this material, superb luster and a well executed cut. The green Mali garnet is actually a solid solution series of andradite-grossular garnet and is second only to the very rare & expensive Dematiod garnet in refractive index, thus it has a very brilliant fire! This variety of garnet only comes from one location in the world, from the Kayes Region, Diakon, Mali. Although it is not very well known, green Mali garnet is among the rarest types of garnets and very difficult to acquire, if you can even find it. "Often wholesales for $100 per carat!"
