* How does the laser scrambler work? It works on all police radar bands. (X, K, Ka, & super- wide) Inside the scrambler are 3 elements: an FM chirp generator, a mixer diode and a dual ridge wave-guide antenna. When the scrambler is hit by a police radar signal it runs it through the mixer, adding the FM chirp to mix up the signal and using the antenna, reflects back a new signal to the radar gun. The radar gun's computer can't recognize the new signal; it gets confused and won't display a reading on the police radar gun, leaving nothing but a blank screen for the officer to view.
* Are the units legal? Yes. The FCC regulates all consumer products that transmit or leak radio frequency into the air. (Part 15 of the FCC code) Since the scrambler and the combination units do not transmit but merely act as a reflective receiver they are legal under the FCC regulations. Regarding the laser scrambler, there are no Federal laws against transmission of infrared light, so the laser-scrambling portion is legal as well.
* Where are units illegal? The scrambler and the combination units are banned in OK, MN, VA, CA, NE, UT, and Washington, D.C. They are legal in some providence's of Canada and many foreign countries.

Rocky Mountain Radar does not endorse speeds in excess of the posted speed limits. Please drive carefully.

Rocky Mountain Radar only accepts original registration and claim forms. Absolutely no copies of the claim form will be accepted. To ensure prompt processing of claims, all required documents must be enclosed. All claims are subject to verification through the court system and may take up to eight (8) weeks to process.

To qualify for a rebate from this program:

1. Registration form must be returned within 30 days from date of purchase
2. Registered owner of a radar and/or laser jamming product can not exceed 15 miles per hour OR 30% over the posted speed limit, whichever is less
3. The ticket must clearly state "RADAR" or "LASER" and "SPEEDING"
4. Rebate is only valid in the USA
5. Registered owner must be the driver of the vehicle when ticket is issued
6. Registered owner is qualified for this program for one full year from date of purchase
7. Only the person who is the registered owner of a jamming product is eligible for the rebate
8. Does NOT APPLY where DWI or DUI is involved or in school or construction zones
9. This rebate is not available in California.

DLS models only scramble laser and thus only laser tickets will be covered.

HOW TO FILE A CLAIM

To file a claim, please complete, and return a claim form with the following information:
1) legible copy of ticket (both sides) and
2) legible copy of court receipt as proof of payment.

Both ticket and receipt must state "RADAR" or "LASER" and "SPEEDING".
