This a Bird Termaline coaxial resistor model #8085 50 Ohm at 50 Watts, dc to 3500Mhz. Unit was in static service and is in near pristine condition.

The 8085 Termaline Load Resistor is a portable,
general purpose 50 ohm coaxial transmission line termina-
tion. It is self-contained unit, liquid free and air
cooled, requiring no outside power source or additional
equipment. It provides accurate, dependable, and practi-
cally nonreflective termination for testing and adjusting
transmitters under nonradiating conditions. This load is
useful for the following purposes:
As a substitute antenna
For tuning RF transmitters under
nonradiating conditions.
For making routine tests and adjustments.
As a substitute for any circuit loading ele-
To measure, with a suitable indicating device,
the power output of any coaxially transmitted
RF signal within their rating.

The 8085 can absorb their maximum
rated RF power levels continuously and dissipate them
harmlessly as heat over their entire frequency range.
