This cookbook contains recipes submitted by the volunteer staff of Cabarrus Memorial Hospital, Concord, North Carolina, and was published in 1953. Also contains some old advertisements, mostly local, as well. (Cabarrus Memorial Hospital is now Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.)
Chapters include: Breads, Cakes and Cookies, Calory Chart (spelled that way in book), Candies, Desserts-Pies and Puddings, Ice Creams and Sherbets, Miscellaneous, Soups, Oysters-Fish-Fowl-Relishes, Steaks-Meats-Sauces, Vegetables.
This book was published in April 1953. For an over 50 year old cookbook, it is in very good condition. The cover has a good deal of soiling and stains. front and back, however, the binding is tight and the pages are clean. It appears to have rarely, if ever been used.
