| Do you wish to witness a first-hand record of Operation Desert Shield? Do you wish to see how our soldiers fought to preserve world peace? Do you desire to witness the utter helplessness of Saddams forces when confronted by vastly superior American troops? Grab this CD today!
The crystal-clear images in this rare CD capture some golden moments form the memorable desert war that signaled the end of the tyrannical reign of Saddam Hussein.
This CD is a photographic record of "Operation Desert Shield". It shows Americas preparedness for the war through graphic images of American forces engaged in battle. You will also get a glimpse of how they spent their time between missions and the preparations that preceded an attack. Pictures of civilians mingling fearlessly with American troops speak of the rapport the soldiers had quickly established with them. Images of the many posters, which warned and informed civilians about the dangers of supporting Saddam, are included. You will witness a humorously designed deck of cards that portrays the Iraqi leaders as Kings, Queens and Jokers.
Despite the fact that the Middle East has always been a region of complex political interplay, and feudal wars, the world was shocked when Iraq, perusing ambitions for global supremacy over oil reserves, attacked Kuwait claiming that the tiny, oil-rich nation was once a part of Iraq. This move made Saudi Arabia nervous, knowing that the occupation of Kuwait brought the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within striking distance of Iraqi forces. The massive build-up of Iraqi forces in Kuwait further sent the Saudis a clear signal of President Saddam Husseins intentions. It wasnt long before the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sent an SOS to its long time ally the United States.
The atrocities committed by Saddams forces in Kuwait and undeniable reports of Saddams build-up of weapons of mass destruction were reasons enough for the Bush Administration to declare strict economic sanctions against Iraq. When these failed, military intervention was imminent. A majority of Americans understood that military force was not only justified, but absolutely necessary. So began operation "Desert Shield".
Interestingly, BBC Online reports that Saddam Hussein saw himself as a modern-day Nebuchadnezzar, "fit to assume the mantle of leader of the Arabs and of the strongest power in the region".
This rare and historic CD contains some graphic images of the efforts of American forces in freeing the long-suppressed people of Iraq from the tyrannical reign of Saddam Hussein. |
