Long Hooded Capes
For Christmas 2005 I made hooded capes for our two oldest
children. I made our daughter a red one for "Little Red
Riding Hood" and our son a green one for "Robin
Hood". They are still enjoying them and would wear them out
Everywhere if I would let them.
NOTE: Seasonal Micro Plush Fabric as shown in the pictures no longer available.
I will be using a cotton, poly, or cotton poly blend. Please let me know what color (ie: Navy blue or Country Blue ~ Deep Red or Cherry Red) and I will be happy to look for it and let you know.
I have 2 sizes to choose from:
$20 for the Short fits ages/sizes 3 to 7 or 8(it fits my daughter (age 7 now she was 5 1/2 in the pictures) to
fingertip length - won't impede car seats that way and closer to the
face to keep the wind/cold out of the ears. Could also be removed in
the car and used as a lap blanket.)
$30 for the Long fits ages/sizes 8 to petite or slender adult (It is approximately 60" from the top of the hood down. I also give more room about the face. More like "Belle" from "Beauty and the Beast") [Robert is shown at age 10 he is 12 now and still enjoys his cape] Some friends wear theirs as part of thier pioneer outfit and the boys as Harry Potter. However the light weight ones make great alternatives to coats in transitional weather and the fleece for colder fall/winter time.
